Treatment plans are always a topic when site visits occur from insurance providers, the Dept of Drug and alcohol programming and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. With counselors having high caseloads and often rushing to complete plans by their due date, the quality can often fall short. Remembering that the treatment plan is the blueprint for one’s recovery, and that it can be viewed by the patient, management, peers, and outside agencies, it is of utmost importance that these plans are well written and include all required data. In this 3-hour training learn to recognize how to create problem lists, identify long and short-term goals, create realistic objectives and interventions. Also, learn skills needed for collaborative documentation, and how to prevent citations from auditors both internally and outside the agency.
